1. Service description

CompanionPDF provides online PDF tools such as compress, merge, split, convert, rotate, and delete pages. Features may change over time.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old (or the minimum digital-consent age in your country) to use the service.

3. Acceptable use

You agree not to:
  • Upload unlawful, harmful, or infringing content
  • Attempt to attack, overload, or reverse engineer the service
  • Use automated scraping or abuse that harms other users
  • Bypass security, rate limits, or access controls

We may suspend or block access if we detect abuse.

4. Your files

  • You keep ownership of the files you upload.
  • Files are processed to provide the tool you requested.
  • Uploaded files are deleted after processing.
  • Result files are deleted after download, or automatically within about 15 minutes if not downloaded.
  • Do not upload confidential data unless you accept the risk of online processing.

5. No warranty

The service is provided “as is” and “as available”. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, perfect conversion quality, or that every PDF will process successfully.

6. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent allowed by law, CompanionPDF is not liable for lost data, lost profits, business interruption, or damages arising from use of the service.

7. Accounts and paid plans

If paid plans are introduced later, additional billing terms may apply. Free use may include limits on size, frequency, or features.

8. Changes

We may update these Terms. Continued use after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
